Bonbons From Stacy Edwards
Stacy Edwards appears every week as one of the elite doctors on Chicago Hope. CBS This Morning Contributor Eleanor Mondale visited Edwards' home, where they whipped up a batch of Buckeye Bonbons.
Here's the recipe:
BUCKEYE BONBONS
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups chunky peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 cups Rice Krispies
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/4 stick of paraffin wax (found in the baking section of your supermarket)
- Melt the chocolate chips together with the paraffin wax in a double boiler. (The wax is safe to eat and helps the chocolate chips adhere to the peanut butter.)
- In a large mixing bowl, using your hands, mix together all other ingredients. (If the mixture is too sticky to handle, slowly add more powdered sugar.)
- Roll mixture into one-inch balls and dip in the melted chocolate, covering completely.
- Place them on wax paper to cool.

For Stacy Edwards, cooking is a personal prescription for stress relief.
"You get to express yourself creatively by cooking food, and then you get to watch people eat, and I love that," she says. "I love people with good appetites."
She says the best part of all is bringing the food to the table and getting a reaction from your guests.
"It's a great feeling if they 'ooooo and ahhhh' as you bring it to the table, and they're 'umming' and moaning as they're eating it," she explains. "That's definitely the payoff."
Professionally, it has been a busy year for Edwards. Along with Chicago Hope, she can be seen in the TV movie Houdini and she's currently shooting The Bachelor with Chris O'Donnell.
What kind of character does she play in The Bachelor?
"I'm a bit ditzy. I'm the artsy one," she says. "I'm a window dresser, maybe even considered a little superficial. It was just fun to play with Chris."
Edwards met her husband, Eddie, at a party, and they got married that same night.
"He started tap dancing for me, and he's in this tuxedo," Edwards recalls. "And I thought, 'You're Gene Kelly!' So we got married."
