Bold Beauty Tips for a 2010 Look

From nails to hair to lips, it's all about the bright and dramatic beauty trends in 2010.

How can you pull it off?

Baze Mpinja, beauty editor of Glamour magazine gave tips on "The Early Show" for how you can, not only pull it off, but make a stunning, bold statement this year.

TREND #1: Look-at-me nails

Nothing against pale pink polish, but this season it's all about off-the-beaten path colors and textures. Mint green, cobalt blue, big-time glitter -- We love the new un-boring nail options for spring (and so are celebrities).

Wild nails are like an accessory. You can coordinate them to match your outfit, your handbag, your shoes or your mood.

Nail polish is an inexpensive way to update your look. You can wear the makeup you already have, and then buy a trendy polish or two for the season.

It's inspiring to see celebrities taking risks on the red carpet with their nails. It shows real girls that they can do it too; it works in real life. If you work in a conservative office or can't wear eye catching colors to work, do it on your toes.

TIPS: Apply two thin coats of polish to make your manicure last longer. Thick layers are more likely to chip. Always use a base coat for extra shine and to prevent chips. Experiment and layer different shades, mix different textures.

TREND #2: All over eye shadow

Whether it was bright, smoky or metallic, runway makeup pros were extending eye shadow way up and out. We like this trend because it's a fast way to glam up your eyes for night.

You can do this with neutral colors or something brighter like purple or green-we've seen Kim Kardashian with pretty lime green eye shadow and it looked great.

You don't need eyeliner and you could even skip mascara, especially during the day. That keeps the look softer and more subtle.

Smudge the shadow from the lash line to just above the crease and use a small brush to rim your lower lash line, too. Blur the edges with your fingers to keep it from looking stamped on or harsh.

TIP: Balance out intense eyes with a pinky-nude lipstick or gloss. If you're using cream shadow, dust your lids with powder first to avoid creasing.

TREND #3: Messy hair

The spring runways confirmed what we already suspected: perfection is overrated. We spotted a lot of texture with messy buns, textured ponytails and tousled waves.

For messy bed head look, make big curls with a curling iron, break the ringlets apart with your fingers then gently tease with your fingers or a fine-toothed comb.

Use a texturizer to bring out natural waves and curls and to create a piece-like effect.

The idea is look like you're not trying too hard.

TREND #4: High drama lipstick

Bright, cheery lip colors like retro red, orange and fuchsia are everywhere. One reason we love them: They make everyone's face look instantly more awake -- like you got tons of sleep. These bold colors are also surprisingly easy to wear.

You don't have to save this for nighttime. To wear during the day, just pair it with a little bit of black mascara.

Color this intense can't be messy or smeary. Use a lip brush for even, neat application

Tip: Fill in lips with matching lip liner before applying lipstick for more staying power.

TREND #5: Rosy lips and cheeks

This is one case where it's OK to be matchy-matchy. Dust your cheekbones with a pretty pink blush and apply a similar gloss or lipstick. No mascara required.

This works at night-add fake lashes or two coats of black thickening mascara.

This should look monochromatic so the pinks should be as close as possible.

Tip: Cream blush can double as lipstick.
