Bobby Brown Gets Engaged on Stage

Bobby Brown proposed to his girlfriend of nearly three years on stage during a concert Friday night in Jacksonville, Fla., the Florida Times-Union reported Saturday.

During the Funk Fest concert in Jacksonville's Metro Park, Brown brought manager Alicia Etheridge on stage and, while she held their 11-month-old son Cassius, got down on one knee and presented her with a ring. The crowd cheered in appreciation as Etheridge kissed Brown, who was still kneeling.

Brown's troubled 15-year marriage to singer Whitney Houston ended in 2007. He and Houston have one daughter, Bobbi Kristina Houston-Brown, born in 1993.

"We shouted, we screamed," concert-goer Carol Pearsall told the newspaper after witnessing the proposal. "We supported him."

"Hopefully he'll get it right this time," added her husband, Paul.
