Floyd Norris, the veteran financial correspondent at the New York Times, is blogging the market today, in a post called United Panic, apparently a reference to global stock markets. He has an interesting post looking at how far the world's major markets have fallen since the start of October. We in the U.S. are doing relatively well -- we're only down 26 percent, not counting today.
