BET Awards 2011 go high-tech with Sprint tablets

(CBS/AP) - Goodbye envelopes. Hello tablets?

We won't know for a while whether other awards shows will catch on, but the BET Awards took a step forward when it comes to how winners of awards are announced.

During last night's telecast of the awards, winners' names were revealed on a tablet device provided by Sprint.

One presenter said it was a big improvement over using envelopes that can be hard to open by presenters in the middle of a live show.
