(CBS News) Ben Affleck has shot down rumors that he was being considered to direct and possibly star in Warner Bros.' "Justice League" film.

"I'm not working on the 'Justice League.' One of the problems with entertainment websites is that they need to fill pages, and that's how rumors get started," Affleck said in an interview the Canadian press. "'Justice League' sounds really exciting, but it's not something I'm working on."

The Justice League features some of the most popular super heroes from DC comics, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern.

"The Dark Knight Rises" director Christopher Nolan was also rumored to be attached to the film, but denied his involvement last month to the Associated Press.
