Beckinsale Tells Mag: I'm No Tramp

Kate Beckinsale wants to set the record straight on her sexy image.

The 32-year-old actress, who starred as a sultry vampire in the "Underworld" movies, tells Allure magazine in its July issue, on newsstands Tuesday, that she's only dated two men in the past 10 years.

The Britain-born Beckinsale, who now lives in Los Angeles, married "Underworld" director Len Wiseman in 2004. She has a 7-year-old daughter, Lily, with ex-boyfriend, actor Michael Sheen.

Beckinsale says she was puzzled when people accused her of being promiscuous.

" 'Oh, she ditched the father of her child and ran off with somebody else,' " she says, recalling the negative reaction to her relationship with Wiseman. "I mean, look around this town and tell me one other person who's slept with only two people in a decade. I might just be the only one."

As for motherhood, Beckinsale says she's raised a daughter who is "truly happy."

"The two things — being a mother and being an actress — are really quite a struggle," she says. "I mean, when you have a child sitting in front of you, that is your priority. And I wanted to raise a child that didn't end up with issues because she had been left a lot."

Beckinsale plays Adam Sandler's wife in the new comedy "Click."
