Baking Up Pink Ribbon Bagels

Bagels loaded with cherry chips and real bits of Bing cherries and cranberries. Sound good? Buying them will make you feel good, too.

The audience on the plaza for The Saturday Early Show was treated to the pink ribbon-shaped bagels from Panera Bread.

The company is helping in the fight against breast cancer by offering the specially created bagels in all of its nearly 1,000 bakery-cafes during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

During October, Panera is donating a portion of the proceeds from each Pink Ribbon Bagel sold to a variety of breast cancer causes, including the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization.

The special bagel follows the tradition of thinking pink in the quest to eradicate breast cancer.
