Bacon And Sedgwick Get Even 'Closer'
Kyra Sedgwick's husband of nearly 18 years is set to direct an episode of her TNT drama series "The Closer."
Kevin Bacon, who made his directorial debut in 1996's "Losing Chase," will direct the second-season finale, which will air in December.
The two-part special will focus on Sedgwick character's fight to keep her job while on administrative leave.
Sedgwick received her first Emmy nod on July 6 for her turn as a deputy LAPD chief with a southern twang. She's up against Geena Davis from "Commander In Chief," "Law & Order: SVU's" Mariska Hargitay, Frances Conroy of "Six Feet Under," and "The West Wing's" Allison Janney.
Sedgwick and Bacon, who have two children, both starred in last year's critically acclaimed indie film "Loverboy," which Bacon also directed.
Bacon currently has tour dates scheduled with his band, The Bacon Brothers, which he formed with his brother, Michael. He also has several acting projects in the pipeline.
"The Closer" launched its second season in June.
