Audrina Patridge Exit: Even "DWTS" Judges Called It Shocking

Eliminated on Oct. 26, 2010 Audrina Patridge is best known her her role on the MTV reality show "The Hills." She also starred in the 2009 thriller "Sorority Row." Other film credits include "Into the Blue 2" and "Step Up 2." She is also a spokesperson for the clothing line Bongo and appeared in a sexy Carl's Jr. commercial. She is paired up with Tony Dovolani.

NEW YORK (CBS) In what was one of the most shocking "Dancing With The Stars" results shows ever, Audrina Patridge, who got the second highest score of the night Monday, was sent home from the competition.

Even the judges appeared amazed.

"I'm almost at a loss for words," judge Len Goodman said on learning that Patridge and actress Jennifer Grey were the two targeted for elimination. "It's ludicrous. For one of these two to be going home is absolute nonsense."

Judge Bruno Tonioli took some of the blame, speculating that voting viewers might be misunderstanding the judge's comments. He said the only reason he and the other two judges kept bashing Audrina was because her technique was flawless but they thought she was capable of better performances.

The only other "DWTS" results show that comes close to this one in surprise is the elimination in October 2007 of Sabrina Bryan of The Cheetah Girls, who had been one of the season's consistently high scorers.

Patridge does have a consolation prize of sorts, though. According to The Washington Post, VH1 is giving "The Hills" star a reality TV show of her own in Hollywood. But the DWTS exit still has to hurt.

That Patridge and Grey ended up in the bottom two on Tuesday says volumes about who is actually casting those viewers votes. Looks as if there are a lot of sports fans, Disney enthusiasts and Tea Party operatives among them.
