Apple Store Shooting Was Brother vs. Brother, Cops Say

COLUMBUS, Ohio - An Ohio teen has been charged with shooting his younger brother in the head in front of shoppers after a dispute inside an Apple store.

Columbus police said in a news release Monday that they charged 16-year-old Andrew Kelley with one count of felonious assault in the Saturday night shooting at Easton Town Center. It wasn't immediately clear if Kelley has an attorney.

His 15-year-old brother, Andrake Kelley, remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Police say the shooting in an outdoor area of the shopping center followed some sort of dispute at the mall's Apple store.

A source close to the case told CBS News affiliate WBNS-TV in Columbus that Andrew Kelley told investigators that he was trying to fire shots in the air when he accidentally shot his brother.

Easton is located about 8 miles northeast of downtown Columbus. Its other tenants include upscale retailers such as Tiffany & Co. and Nordstrom.
