Answer E-Mails by Voice with Jott for BlackBerry

It's Unofficial BlackBerry Day here at Business Hacks! Jott for BlackBerry lets you reply to e-mails using just your voice. That not only gives your thumbs a break, but also keeps you safer while driving (no more typing at the wheel...Craig).

Here's how it works: After installing Jott for BlackBerry on your device, you'll see two new options in your e-mail reply menu: "Reply with Jott" and "Reply All with Jott." Choose either one, then listen to and follow the instructions. In a nutshell, you dictate your reply into the phone, then Jott transcribes your words and delivers them via e-mail.

Wow. Just when I thought Jott couldn't get any better (I've gushed about it countless times before), along comes another revolutionary feature. If RIM doesn't buy this technology to add to the BlackBerry OS, I'll be shocked (and disappointed).

Jott for BlackBerry is compatible with the 8100 (Pearl), 8300 (Curve), and 8800 models. You can use it with the phone proper or a Bluetooth headset. It's free while in beta, but eventually you'll have to pay for it (pricing has not yet been set). Jott itself remains free -- and fabulous. [via Lifehacker]
