Anna Nicole Judge Cited For Marijuana
A judge who played a role in the recent Anna Nicole Smith proceedings was cited for smoking marijuana in a city park, police said Monday.
Lawrence Korda was smoking marijuana while sitting under a tree Sunday, police said. Three officers training there caught Korda and field-tested the joint, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel newspaper.
The judge was not arrested. He was given a misdemeanor citation to appear in court.
The fight over control of Smith's body began in Korda's courtroom last month. The case ended up being heard by Circuit Judge Larry Seidlin, who drew even more national attention with his relentless one-liners and tearful announcement of the decision.Anna Nicole Smith Photo Album
Korda later heard brief arguments in a related case that seeks to determine the biological father of Smith's baby daughter, Dannielynn.
A telephone message left by The Associated Press at the judge's chambers after hours Monday was not immediately returned.
