Angelina Jolie is Hollywood's highest-paid actress, says Forbes
Despite not starring in a major film in three years, Angelina Jolie is still the highest-earning actress, according to Forbes.
The magazine released its annual list of the highest-paid actresses this week, and Jolie tops the tally, based on figures collected between June 2012 and June 2013. The 38-year-old actress took time off to undergo an elective double mastectomy, but her role in the upcoming film "Maleficent" helped her snag the top spot; she earned an estimated $15 million for the part.
Disney's "Maleficent" is a re-imagining of "Sleeping Beauty" told from the perspective of the evil queen, played by Jolie. The movie hits theaters next summer and marks Jolie's first return to big-budget films since appearing in 2010's "The Tourist" with Johnny Depp.
Jolie took in $33 million in overall entertainment-related earnings, according to Forbes, easily beating out "The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence, who came in second with $26 million in earnings. Kristen Stewart (who topped last year's list) was third with $22 million thanks to her "Twilight" franchise, while Jennifer Aniston came in fourth making $20 million.
Others who made the top 10 were Emma Stone, Charlize Theron, Sandra Bullock, Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Julia Roberts.
