An Easy Way to Follow Your Outlook Contacts' Tweets

For a couple months now I've been using TwInbox to track my Twitter account in Outlook. But that's a somewhat messy solution, as it merely lumps together all inbound tweets.

Xobni to the rescue! The uber-awesome Outlook accessory just added Twitter integration, meaning I can now follow my contacts' tweets with ease:

As you can see, and as you may recall, Xobni already offered contact-specific integration with Facebook, Hoover's, and LinkedIn.

The newly added Twitter tab shows you the latest tweets from the selected contact and lets you reply and retweet. You can also follow/unfollow a Twitter contact and post your own status updates -- all from within Outlook.

Just when we thought Xobni couldn't get any more awesome, bam! Seriously, if you're an Outlook user and you haven't tried this tool, you're missing out on a major productivity boost.

As always, Xobni is free, though the new Xobni Plus ($29.95) adds advanced search, advanced filters, support for multiple Outlook PST files, and other features. (My opinion: Most users will be perfectly happy with the free version -- though I can't help thinking this developer deserves some cash!) [via The Download Blog]
