(CBS) There were many twists and turns in last night's season finale of the CW's "America's Next Top Model All-Stars"- including the unexplained disqualification of one of the three finalists. (SPOILER ALERT)

Lisa D'Amato, Allison Harvard and Angelea Preston were all who remained on the show's final episode. For their last few challenges, the women were asked to do a Cover Girl commercial, a photo shoot for Vogue Italia on the beach in Crete and a runway show that required the models to  swim, fly (while strapped into a harness), and then strut down the runway.

After the runway show, everyone came back to Los Angeles for the final panel discussion and deliberation to choose the All-Star winner. That was when photographer and judge Nigel Barker said Angelea had been disqualified from the competition completely. Neither Tyra Banks, the show's host, nor Barker went into details about why she was booted.

Ultimately, Lisa was crowned the winner, but the buzz surrounding Angelea's disqualification remained the focus of the show's season finale.

In a statement, the CW said it had learned information about Angelea after the show wrapped that disqualified her, and it had to re-shoot scenes, suggesting that she may have been crowned the winner initially, reports People magazine.

According to the magazine, the CW said: "After production wrapped on the current cycle of 'America's Next Top Model,' we learned information that made Angelea ineligible and she was subsequently disqualified from the competition. As a result, new scenes were filmed to address this for the audience during the finale."

There has been some speculation that Angelea had bragged that she won the competition on her Facebook page prior to the show's airing, breaking the rules of the competition, reports People.
