Dance company Academy of Villains won over judges during Tuesday's performance competition, so it was no surprise when the troupe was the first to move forward to the semifinals.

Next up? Dancers 7 in Unison, singer Bria Kelly and illusionist Rudy Coby. The 16-year-old Kelly advanced.

The Magic of Puck beat out "comedy imaginator" Eric Buss and comic Melinda Hill.

In the end, the judges were left to choose between singer-guitarist Drew Erwin and exotic bird act Clint Carvalho and his Extreme Parrots. The Parrots reigned supreme, becoming the fourth YouTube act heading to semifinals.

As for Douglas, she pitched in and helped Nick Cannon host the episode, introducing segments and acts.

"America's Got Talent" returns next week with the wildcard round where each judge brings back four acts kicked off earlier this season. Those 12 contestants will then be narrowed down to four, rounding out the top 24.
