"American Idol" Alum's Dad Arrested
The father of "American Idol" alum Kellie Pickler has had another run-in with the law.
Documents given to The ShowBuzz Monday by the Stanly County, N.C. Sheriff's Office reveal that Clyde Raymond Pickler Jr. was arrested on Feb. 7 in Albemarle, North Carolina.
An official arrest report says that Pickler, 42, was arrested early in the morning on Wednesday for allegedly assaulting a female companion with a steak knife. He was subsequently charged with misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor assault on a female and a misdemeanor charge of communicating threats.

A trial date was set for Feb. 28.
This is not Pickler's first run-in with the law. His daughter often talked about his time in jail when she was a finalist on "American Idol" last year.
Most recently, Pickler served jail time in Florida for stabbing his neighbor in 2003, the Charlotte Observer reported. The newspaper said he was released in May of last year.
Kellie Pickler's debut album, "Small Town Girl," was released late last year and recently was certified as gold for selling 500,000 copies.
The singer's relationship with her mother is estranged. "My relationship with my mom is nonexistent," Pickler said on "The View," explaining the story behind her song "I Wonder." "She left when I was a little girl, so ("I Wonder") consists of different questions I've had for her over the last 20 years."
A rep for Kellie told The ShowBuzz on Monday that she had no information on the matter.
