Amber Alert issued for Houston children, ages 2 and 4
HOUSTON -- An Amber Alert has been issued for two Houston children, reports CBS affiliate KHOU.
Law enforcement is searching for 2-year-old Jayden Lopez and 4-year-old Alice Salazar-Recendez. Police believe that their mother's ex-boyfriend, Roy Castillo, is involved, according to the station.
Investigators said the suspect forced his way into the family's home early Sunday morning, and that the mother didn't called police because she was afraid.
Castillo and the mother -- with the two children -- then drove to a Sellers Bros. grocery store. The mom and 4-year-old girl got out off the car, when Castillo allegedly pulled the child back in before speeding off with both children.
The mom said that she tried to hold on, but was dragged before letting go.
The 2-year-old boy is 3-feet tall, about 50 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, police told KHOU. The 4-year-old girl is 4-feet tall, about 50 pounds with brown eyes and light skin.
Houston police says anyone with information about the children's whereabouts should contact them at 713-308-3600.
