Al Qaeda's Yemen "Branch" Warns Foreigners in the Arabian Peninsula

The "Yemen Branch" of al Qaeda in the Arab Peninsula issued a warning to non-Muslim foreigners in a statement posted on militant Islamist Internet forums. The group advised foreigners not to be anywhere across the Arab Peninsula for whatever reason or they'll run the risk of being targeted by the group. "We warn you not to enter the Arabian Peninsula under any name or cover...whether you're tourists, diplomats, scientists, experts or journalists," the statement said. "You will be a primary target for the mujahideen, who are still holding on to al Zarqawi's knife, and it's still dripping with blood."
The warning was featured in an editorial published in the third issue of the group's online magazine entitled the "Battles' Echo."
The group had recently claimed responsibility for the attack on the Italian Embassy in Sanaa, and was blamed for the kidnapping of two Japanese tourists several weeks ago in Marib.
