Air Power: the Inflight Power Recharger

inflight-power.jpgHere's an interesting idea for air warriors: a device charger that draws power from a headphone jack. Specifically, the $35 Inflight Power Recharger plugs into your first-class or coach seat's headset jack, draws juice from it, then makes it available via a standard USB output (meaning you can power any device that supports USB charging). Of course, if you don't happen to have an airliner handy, you can pop in a pair of AAA batteries and recharge your device the old-fashioned way. Sounds like a pretty handy gizmo to have around, though Wired's Chris Null couldn't get the thing to work properly on two separate flights; only the batteries were able to supply any power. If you have better luck, tell us about it in the Comments.
