"Ain't No Other" Singer Like Aguilera

Christina Aguilera's powerful pipes have made her a three-time Grammy winner. Now, her latest album "Back to Basics" is up for two more this year.

The former pop princess has gone glam, embracing the look of old Hollywood and belting out a retro sound. Her album "Back to Basics" has been described as soulful and bluesy. The album's breakout single "Ain't No Other Man," is an ode to her husband, music executive Jordan Bratman. The two got married just over a year ago.

"I probably wrote it around this time last year," Aguilera told E! Entertainment news anchor and The Early Show special contributor Giuliana DePandi.."It's great because he doesn't get so lost in the fact that it's about him so he can give me critiques on my work, which I love. And I love that we have that relationship. I ask him, 'How does it feel to be so loved?' and he's just flattered."

Bratman tends to do more of the work around the house, Aguilera said. He cooks a little more and sets the alarm at night. They leave the dishes to their chef, however. But most importantly, Aguilera said Bratman is a special kind of man who isn't intimidated by her fame.

"It takes a certain kind of guy, it takes a real man, to be honest, not a boy," she said.

Meanwhile, the Internet is abuzz with Aguilera's revelation that her and Bratman enjoy Sundays in the buff, prompting a phone call from Bratman's mother.

"My mother-in-law calls Jord and she's a New Yorker, very Jewish mom, and she's like 'So do you really have these days where you just lie in bed cozy and you're naked?' Jordy's like, 'Yeah, sure, it's great.' And she's like, 'Don't you get chilly?' " Aguilera said.

Aguilera's album "Back to Basics" honors the music of the '20s and '30s that she grew up listening to. It's from that era's starlets that she drew inspiration for her look, the platinum blonde curls and dark rep lips.

"'Back to Basics' is kind of influenced by the '20s, '30s — that old soul blues and jazz," she said. "I wanted to kind of steal the look of my inspirations. And wore my red lipstick in the recording booth."

After the Grammys, Aguilera will begin a new tour. Meanwhile, she's trying to improve her cooking. She has been observing her mother in her kitchen — taking pictures and scribbling down notes.

Aguilera will be performing live at the 49th Annual Grammy awards, which air Sunday at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
