(CBS) GOLDEN CITY, Mo. - Authorities say a body located Wednesday in southwest Missouri is 12-year-old Adriaunna Horton, who had been missing since Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced the identification late Thursday. Adriaunna was last seen Monday when she got into a vehicle in Golden City, where she lived with her father. Her mother lives in Overland Park, Kan.

A man who once worked with the girl's father, 34-year-old Bobby D. Bourne Jr. of Lamar, is jailed in Barton County on charges of kidnapping in her disappearance. He was reportedly taken into custody Monday after being found driving an Expedition that witnesses said matched the description of the truck that had picked up Horton 90 minutes earlier. He's being held on $1 million bond.

The body was reportedly found in a wooded area southeast of Golden City by search crews. Following the discovery of the body, crews were told to call off their search for the 12-year-old, CBS affiliate KOLR reported.
