Adele reschedules North American tour after laryngitis

(CBS/AP) After two weeks of rest, Adele is ready to sing and hit the road again.

The British singer was forced to cancel the rest of the dates on her North American tour earlier this month because of laryngitis. She has now rescheduled those dates and added some shows in Las Vegas, Miami and other cities.

Columbia Records said in a statement Thursday that the concerts will begin in Vancouver on Aug. 9 with shows scheduled throughout the rest of the month. Performances will then resume Oct. 7 in Atlantic City, N.J.

The 23-year-old Grammy winner has one of this year's top albums with "21," including the No.1 hit, "Rolling in the Deep." The album has sold 2.3 million copies.
