Storro faces three theft charges. Court records show that of nearly $28,000 people donated to help pay her medical bills, she spent about $1,500 on such things as dinners for her parents, clothes for herself and a laser facial peel.
Prosecutors say she spent part of the donated money to cover her medical bills.
The 28-year-old has confessed that she made up the story about the facial burns she suffered Aug. 30.
She's since said she put drain cleaner on her face trying to kill herself.
Her court appearance was the first time she'd been in public since a hospital press conference Sept. 1 when her head was covered with bandages.
On Wednesday, she had one small bandage on her nose.
