9 Ways to Make the Most of Google Chrome

Have you taken Google Chrome for a test drive yet? If not, it's well worth your time, if only to see how Google's new browser manages to out-innovate even Firefox. Meanwhile, Google Operating System put together a list of nine Google Chrome tips to help you really maximize the experience. A sampling:

  • Show the list of recently visited pages from the current tab: right-click on the "Back" button. This also works for the "Forward" button.
  • Undo closing a tab: press Ctrl+Shift+T or open a new tab and check the "Recently closed tabs" section.
  • Perform simple calculations and unit conversions using Google Calculator by simply typing the expression in Google Chrome's address bar (or "omnibox"). To copy the answer, select the suggestion.
Great stuff! I also recommend checking out Incognito mode (Ctrl-Shift-N), which gives you a "protected" browser window, one that collects no cookies and leaves no traces of itself in your browser history. Take that, browser-monitoring corporate overlords!
