ʽAl Qaeda In The Islamic Maghrebʼ Claims Responsibility For Algerian Bombings
Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) has claimed responsibility for the recent suicide bombings in Algeria, which left 60 people left. Al Jazeera said the claim of responsibility came in an audiotape station by the groupʼs spokesperson Salah Abu Mohammed acquired by the Arab news station. Abu Mohammed said the attacks came in reprisal for the killing of group members during a security operation in Tizu Uzu.
