5 things we're excited for at the American Music Awards

Music's biggest stars are gathering at the American Music Awards on Sunday, and the show is chock full of performances from artists like Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande. Here's what to look out for at this year's show.

1.Celine Dion sings a tribute to Paris victims: The world was rocked when the Paris attacks killed 130 people on Nov. 13, 2015. Vocal powerhouse and native French speaker Celine Dion will sing Edith Piaf's "Hymne a L'Amour" in homage to those affected by the attacks. The song title translates to "Hymn to Love"; Dion will sing in French in what will surely be a moving tribute.

2. A "Star Wars" performance from Pentatonix: Fans can't wait for the latest "Star Wars" movie, "The Force Awakens," to hit theaters, but they can get a little taste of the film at the AMAs. Pentatonix, the a cappella group, will perform the "Star Wars" theme at the AMAs, and beatboxer Kevin Olusola promised Rolling Stone that "it's going to be epic." Olusola added that the performance won't be a cappella, as they will be accompanied by John Williams' orchestra, but he promised: "Our fans are going to be geeking out, because a lot of them are choral students, and I think they're going to get a huge kick out of this."

3. Killer outfits from Jennifer Lopez: When it comes to awards shows and unforgettable fashion, AMAs host Jennifer Lopez never disappoints. People still talk about J. Lo's Grammys dress from 2000, and the singer made headlines in May when she wore a barely there dress (with a big intentional hole on the side). We predict lots of wild wardrobe changes at the AMAs, especially because Lopez will be performing in addition to hosting.

4. An incredible, star-studded lineup: This year's list of performers at the AMAs is bursting at the seams, and we're not complaining. Who's performing? Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Gwen Stefani, The Weeknd, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Coldplay, One Direction, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Walk the Moon, Selena Gomez, 5 Seconds of Summer and Carrie Underwood will take the stage in addition to Dion and Lopez. Basically, it's the entire pop industry's greatest hits all on one stage.

5. Surprise emojis: What would an awards show be in 2015 without custom emojis? The AMAs are teaming up with Twitter to create custom emojis for your favorite artists. Just type hashtags like #BieberOnAMAs or #GwenOnAMAs on Sunday to see how the surprise emojis look.
