BYRAM, Miss. A sport utility truck has plowed into the children's play area of a McDonald's restaurant outside of Jackson, Miss., injuring five people.

WAPT-TV reports the crash occurred Thursday evening when the driver of a Chevy Avalanche suffered a seizure, lost control and his vehicle struck a McDonald's in Byram, about 10 miles southwest of Jackson.

Byram police Cmdr. David Errington told the Clarion-Ledger newspaper that the injured included the Avalanche driver, an adult and two children in a second vehicle struck by the Avalanche, and a child inside the restaurant. That child was taken by a personal vehicle to a local hospital.
