Musicians made powerful statements with their captivating performances, highlighting racial and gender diversity at the 2016 Grammy Awards. Taylor Swift made history by becoming the first woman to win album of the year twice. She also took a swipe at Kanye West in her acceptance speech. Kendrick Lamar's politically-charged performance is among the most talked about moments. He was the night's most-honored artist, with five wins, including best rap album.
