3 Last Minute Tax Apps for the iPhone

In case you haven't been keeping an eye on the calendar, I should warn you that there's about a week to go before you need to file your taxes. (This year, the filing deadline is April 18th, thanks to the observation of Emancipation Day in Washington D.C.)

In the spirit of the season, I've rounded up a few tax refund related apps you can use to make it through yet another April.

Have you already e-filed? MyTaxRefund is a free iPhone app designed to track your tax return. It's made by TurboTax and optimized for tracking returns sent through that program. It tells you the status of your return and estimates when the refund will arrive.

IRS2Go is the IRS's very own tax app for the iPhone. Like TurboTax's MyTaxRefund, this app can tell you the status of your refund, and this might be a better choice if you're not a TurboTax user.

TaxCaster is ideal for the young adult in your family who has just entered the workforce. This very visual app gives you a ballpark estimate of your taxes based on some simple inputs. It doesn't do your taxes for you, but helps someone new to the tax quagmire understand the basics.
