2014 American Music Awards nominees announced

Nominees for the 2014 American Music Awards were announced Monday, and Australian rapper Iggy Azalea leads the pack with six nods.

John Legend, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams are each up for five nominations each, followed by Lorde, who's in the running for four honors. Beyonce, Eminem, Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic and One Direction were nominated for three awards. Bastille, Drake, Luke Bryan and Sam Smith each received two nominations for the fan-voted awards show.

Winners will be announced in a Nov. 23 broadcast, airing live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles at ABC starting at 8 p.m. ET.

"Boom Clap" singer Charli XCX will perform at the event, with more acts getting added to the lineup soon.
