2009: The Year of the Smart Phone

At the December 8 AlwaysOn Venture Summit in Menlo Park, Calif., Vator.TV's Bambi Francisco asked executives from the tech industry about the most important breakthroughs of 2009. Harshul Sanghi of Motorola, Nagraj Kashyup of Qualcomm, Tim Chang of Northwest Venture Partners, and Kevin Hamilton of IREX cited significant developments for the smart phone, including market saturation in the U.S., new business models like "free to play," and innovative devices like the Android.
