Pretrial hearing opens in UnitedHealthcare CEO shooting case
A pretrial hearing began Tuesday for Luigi Mangione, accused in the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The hearing, which comes a year after Mangione’s arrest at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s, featured testimony from arresting officers and body camera footage. Defense attorneys are seeking to exclude evidence found in Mangione’s backpack.
