Gov. DeSantis says he's returned nearly $1 billion in federal funds
The money in question was either previously turned down by the government or never requested, according to the Sun-Sentinel. It was to be used for reducing exhaust emission from vehicles and helping legal refugees, most of them from Cuba and Haiti, settle in Florida.
