With temperatures forecast to fall into the low 30s Monday night the Salvation Army in Broward has gone into full cold weather mode to shelter the homeless.
Those merry bell ringers asking for donations of holiday cheer are offering a new option at their red kettles this year --- donations by plastic. The Salvation Army of Broward County will launch its electronic kettle feature Nov. 30 at "Christmas on Las Olas" where donors can now use their Mastercard, Visa and Discover cards instead of cash.
