Woman Dies After Being Struck By Hit & Run Driver
MIAMI (CBS4) – Miami Police are investigating a deadly hit and run accident Sunday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Sgt. Luis Taborda said the driver of a silver pickup truck traveling east on 1st Street struck a woman and a parked car just before 3 p.m.
The male driver got out of the truck and ran from the scene, according to witnesses, leaving the truck that had been stolen from a body shop, police said.
The unidentified woman was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where she died of her injuries, Taborda said.
Police are investigating the accident.
