Veterans Day: Festivities & What's Open/Closed

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- On a day meant to honor those who made a sacrifice for their country, community members are invited to partake in various events honoring Veterans in South Florida.

Parades, tributes and other ceremonies will be held from Miami-Dade To Palm Beach County. For those interested in attending, here are just some of the major events:

• Federal offices: Closed

• State offices: Closed

• Post offices: Closed

• Stock markets: Open

• Banks: Most are closed but check with your local bank.
