Tyler Perry's Madea Is Back In Time For Halloween

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Just in time for Halloween, Tyler Perry has again donned the signature dress, wig and pearls for "Boo! A Madea Halloween."

Perry recently sat down with CBS4's Lisa Petrillo to talk about ghosts, goblins and the popularity of everyone favorite's onscreen granny.

"Everyone misses this grandmother, she's not around as much anymore. I mean everybody had one. Somewhere down your family family lineage ther is one of these kind of grandmothers, no matter what race, that spoke her mind, was not politically correct, didnt care, would knock the hell out of kids and not think twice about it. She's missed because she had the wisdom and she was funny," said Perry.

In the movie, Madea is enlisted by her nephew, who is also played by Perry, to watch over his teen daughter who sneaks out to a Halloween frat party. Madea keeps an eye on the teens while fending off killers, ghosts and zombies.

"Boo! A Madea Halloween" opens today in theaters.
