MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A body was pulled from an overturned tractor-trailer Tuesday afternoon on Florida's Turnpike in Miramar.
CBS News Chopper4 was over the scene just north of Northwest 199th Street near Hard Rock Stadium.
About a dozen Miami-Dade firefighters and rescue personnel were on scene. The truck's cabin had been crushed.
Video images showed an 18-wheeler truck on its back.
Firefighters were seen using the "Jaws of Life" to cut through the truck's cabin.
The 'Jaws of Life' is a hydraulic apparatus used to pry apart a wreckage of crashed vehicles.
Firefighters were seen pulling a body from the truck's cabin, placing it on a stretcher and covering it with a yellow tarp.
A rescue chopper had also arrived at the scene.
All northbound lanes of the Turnpike, between Northwest 27th Avenue and Northwest 27th Avenue, are closed.
Officials urge drivers to avoid the area.
