Stolen Sweets: Search Continues For Truck Filled With Hershey's Chocolate
DELAND (CBSMiami/AP) — Somebody looking to satisfy a major sweet tooth has stolen a truck carrying $120,000 worth of Hershey's chocolate.
A Volusia County sheriff's office incident report says the truck's driver, Kenneth Szorosy, told the responding officer on Sunday that he had parked it for the night at a truck center in DeLand.
Szorsy said the truck was filled with an estimated $120,000 in a variety of Hershey's chocolate. He told the deputy he did not know who may have stolen the truck.
The report says the deputy canvased the area but didn't find the truck. The sheriff's office said Tuesday the investigation continued.
The truck belongs to Sunstate Carriers, a refrigerated truckload carrier based in Tavares.
