Sports Agenda For Monday (9/12/11)

Big Story:
What a weekend of football!!!
Michigan and Notre Dame, last night's Cowboys game, Mizzou's overtime loss, I mean we had it all…and it continues tonight with the Miami Dolphins on Monday night football!!!
Plus the Marlins are like an ex doing psycho-driveby's because they won't go away.
Let's drop this agenda like Cameron Wake does a quarterback.

Firsties/NFL edition!!!
Here's my quick hits on the first weekend of the NFL….
Someone give the MVP to Peyton Manning already. Is it any clearer that he is the MVP because without him, I'm not sure the Colts win a game.
Yes, the Packers are that good…though I was concerned about the D giving up 419 yards passing.
The Ravens are locked an loaded and ready to tear up the AFC…ruh-roh.
The Eagles struggled early but eventually pounded the Rams…things could come together fast there.
The Colts are absolutely awful, just pathetic.
The Lions looked really good and they're getting defensive tackle Nick Fairley back soon.
Buffalo beat Kansas City like a government mule. Ryan Fitzpatrick, the pride of Harvard, looked like the real deal throwing 4 TD's.
The Monsters of the Midway are back? Maybe, because they beat on the Falcons like Ike Turner would.
New York is the Jets' town as the Giants looked bad in their opening season loss to Rex Grossman…wait, Rex Grossman…Really?! Yikes.
Big ups to Cam Newton who threw for over 400 yards and 2 td's against the Cardinals…too bad his defense couldn't hold.
Looks like the Donovan McNabb era may be over soon in Minnesota….seriously, he threw for 39 more yards than I did yesterday.
Someone call the Cowboys….Tony Romo can't win in the clutch.
The Seahawks quarterback situation is probably the second worst in the NFL behind the Colts.
Call me stupid, which most of you have at some point, but I think the Dolphins can knock off the Patriots tonight at Sun Life.
And in the no one cares bowl, the Raiders and the Broncos will play to see who sucks more in the AFC West.

College Football:
How about FIU baby? Man, they looked really good against Louisville.
They have a stiff test against UCF at home, but if they can pull out a victory this weekend, they can go undefeated.
Yes, I said FIU has the ability to go undefeated.
May not happen, but nevertheless, the schedule breaks down that way.
Now, whoa nelly, what a weekend of college football coming up.
Oklahoma will travel to Tallahassee this weekend to take on the Florida State Seminoles.
Whoever wins will have the inside track towards the BCS National Championship.
Plus, Ohio State will travel to Miami this weekend to take on the Hurricanes at Sun Life Stadium.
My early picks are FSU and OSU, but I'll revisit my picks later in the week.

Mizzou update:
Yes, Mizzou went down to Arizona State.
Still, the Tigers unleashed their quarterback of the future and he delivered big time.
Now, if someone will please learn to cover in the secondary….and can someone get the team out of the injury bug.
Seriously, they were missing almost 1/3 of their starters against the Sun Devils on Friday.
They have a FCS opponent this week and then get Oklahoma coming off the FSU game.
Here's hoping OK goes to FSU and spends everything they have and comes back the next week deflated.

Marlins: (@ Atlanta Braves, 7:10 p.m., Fox Sports Florida)
The Marlins swept the Pirates over the weekend, of course that's kind of like beating Fox News anchors in an IQ test.
They will play three in Atlanta, then play a double-header in Philadelphia, and then playing in Washington for a three game series.
Then they return home for a three game home stand against Atlanta.
They hit the road on the 23rd for a three game series in Milwaukee.
Then finish off Sun Life Stadium with a three game series against the Nationals.
