South Florida Police Dog Fired From The Force

COCONUT CREEK (CBSMiami) – His days as a law enforcer are over. A South Florida police dog with a penchant for biting has been kicked off the force.
K9 Renzo, a four-year-old Belgian Malinois, served with the Coconut Creek police for about 18 months, according to the Sun Sentinel.
In November, Renzo bit a Coconut Creek officer in the leg while tracking a suspect, and last week Renzo rushed out of a patrol car and bit a Dunkin' Donuts worker four times in the right leg, the newspaper reported.
The paper stated Officer Carl DiBlasi went to the doughnut shop in Margate on Feb. 11th to meet a police sergeant. When the sergeant began to pet Renzo, the dog lunged at her. Renzo managed to break free and went after Robert Doherty, who was getting something out of his car. Doherty was bitten in the calf, according to Margate police.
The retired dog will live with officer DiBlasi.
Doherty has hired a lawyer.
