MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A Homestead pastor and school employee accused of molesting a teenage boy is out of jail.
45-year-old Victor Brantley went before a judge Wednesday and was told to have no contact with the victim and to avoid social media, especially dating apps.
According to an arrest report, last Saturday Brantley was having an internet chat with a 15-year-old boy.
Police say the victim sent a nude photo of himself to Brantley.
Brantley is accused of picking the boy up and driving him to his home where they engaged in sexual acts.
According to their web page, Brantley is associated with Redland Church of the Nazarene.
He is listed as a media pastor.
He's also been working at South Dade Senior High School as an IT specialist.
Students say Brantley was a familiar face in the library.
"He acted off sometimes. He would twitch," says junior Marilyn Arevalo.
Student Raoul Brugal said Brantley would sometimes make him uncomfortable.
"You would sit in the library doing your work and sometimes he would touch my shoulder," he said.
The Miami-Dade School District said in a statement that the allegations against Brantley were "inexcusable and shameful."
The district has initiated employment termination proceedings.
The Redland Church of the Nazarene did not respond to requests for comment.
