President Obama Heads To South Florida This Weekend

MIAMI (CBSMiami/NSF) – After he rallies the faithful Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, President Barack Obama plans to head south for a two day swing through Florida.

A key battleground state in the upcoming presidential election, President Obama's bus tour will include stops in Seminole and Kissimmee on Saturday and Melbourne and West Palm beach on Sunday.

Mr. Obama will start his Florida swing with an 11 a.m. appearance at St. Petersburg College's Seminole Campus. He'll then headline a rally at the Kissimmee Civic Center at 4 p.m.

Full details of Sunday's activities were not immediately available, but Obama's campaign office did confirm the president would attend a 4:50 p.m. rally at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.

The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required for entrance. One ticket per person will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. To pick up your ticket, visit one of the following locations beginning Thursday, Sept. 6, at 6:00 p.m.
