MIAMI(CBSMiami) -- Two men broke into a northwest Miami-Dade beauty supply store using sledgehammers and got away with some high-priced hair.

The men allegedly broke through a brick wall Tuesday morning to get to the merchandise at the store Beauty Exchange Beauty Supply located at NW 119th Street and NW 10th Avenue.

Surveillance cameras captured the thieves making their way inside the store by hitting one of the walls with sledgehammers, making a small hole to crawl in through.

"When they get inside the backroom, the alarm go off and they don't have much time so they take whatever they can and just left," said store owner Rabee Hamad.

With the alarm blaring, the burglars were only able to grab one box, hurry into an SUV and take off.

The owner says they knew exactly what they came for.

"They know about the hair because I have so much different brands here and they just took the one they knew cost more," said Hamad.

The owner estimates the thieves got away with about $1,700 worth of hair. Police are now looking for the men involved.

The owner of the store says this is not the first time this has happened. His other store a few miles away was also burglarized.

"I am sure it's 90 percent of the same guys," said Hamad.

About 20,000 worth of merchandise was stolen from that second store located at NW 107th Ave and NW 7th Street.  A sledgehammer was also used in that incident.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crimestoppers at (305) 471- TIPS.
