Plantation Police Search For Driver In Deadly Hit & Run

PLANTATION (CBSMiami) -- Plantation Police are searching for a driver involved in a deadly hit and run crash last month.

The car they are searching for crashed into a grey Ford F-150 pick up truck on July 30th, just after 3 a.m.

Officers said when the crash happened on the intersection of South Pine Island Road and Peters Road, the driver of the truck got out of the vehicle. At some point, the driver of the other vehicle sped off.

Officers described the unidentified vehicle as an unknown make and model 4-door vehicle from the 1990s - 2000s,  "boxey," and white or silver in color.

Police said the vehicle might have front end and driver side mirror damage.

Officer said one person who was inside the truck died in the initial crash.
