Pedestrian Struck, Killed Near Lauderhill Swap Shop

LAUDERHILL (CBSMiami) – One person was killed in a deadly accident near the Swap Shop in Lauderhill early Thursday morning.

Police spokesman Captain Rick Rocco said it happened around 6:45 a.m. near the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard and NW 31st Avenue. A driver struck heading east on Sunrise Boulevard struck and killed a pedestrian.

After the accident, the driver stopped and waited for police.

The name of the person who died has not been released. No word on if the driver will face charges.
