Panthers Sign D Kulikov To 2-Year Deal
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Florida Panthers secured part of their defense Thursday when they signed defenseman Dmity Kulikov to a two-year contract worth $5 million.
According to prohockeytalk.com, Kulikov's contract will result in a cap hit of $2.5 million for the Panthers.
Kulikov, 22, played in 58 games last season and had 28 points. The young star has played for the last three seasons with the Panthers, though he played the fewest games in a season last year.
The Panthers will likely play Kulikov in Saturday's season-opener against Carolina, despite the defenseman missing pretty much all of the weeklong training camp.
