Octobrawler Takes On Bartender In Ft. Lauderdale Challenge
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - In an effort to feed her family and save her La Habra, California home from foreclosure Nadya Suleman, the woman who made headlines by giving birth to eight children in a single delivery in 2009, has turned to boxing for cash.
Not real boxing of course; it's "celebrity" boxing. In this case, sort-of-celebrity boxing.
Suleman, aka Octomom, has been making the rounds as part of a Celebrity Boxing and Wrestling tour, taking on local challengers one novelty fight at a time.
On Saturday, August 20th, she'll be in Ft. Lauderdale. Wearing over-sized gloves and headgear, the single mother of 14 will take on Cassandra "Patience" Andersen.
Andersen, who is a part-time model, works as a bartender at the Play House Gentlemen's Club in Hollywood.
The match will be staged at the Ocean Manor Resort, at 4040 Galt Ocean Drive, as part of a six match boxing card.
Suleman and Andersen will go head to head in three one minute rounds.
Tickets are $25 if purchased online in advance and $30 at the door.
